Now we’ve gotten over the blizzards of last week, being snowed in and cancelled transport, it’s time to look forward to the new releases that are available to listen to for free on We7 this week!
Of course the one we’re all talking about is Lily Allen’s new album It’s Not Me, It’s You, the follow up to her 2006 debut Alright, Still.
Lily cites Coldplay, Keane and New Order as big influences on this record, but admits to being very anxious at its release: "You have a whole lifetime to create your first record, but then there is all this pressure to get the second one out".
There are 12 pop-perfected tracks for you to listen to, with some of Lily’s trademark ska sounds and jazz fusion. The Fear, the first release from the album is currently at the No 1 spot in the UK singles charts, so get listening for free now!
Also out this week is Morrissey’s new single I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris. We’ll have his long awaited album release “Years of Refusal” available to listen to for free from next Monday.
Don’t forget to check out our Playlist section to listen to themed and topical playlists, including The Brit Award Nominees, Valentine’s Classics, and a celebration of John Martyn’s work, after his passing on January 29th.
