The power of playlists…

Playlists are a great way of making lists of your favourite music to suit any mood or occasion.

So how do you create a playlist? It’s simple! Just sign up for an account, create a playlist on your profile page (remember to give it a memorable name) and then browse the site for the free music you want to put in it! Once you’ve found a song, you can click the ‘+’ symbol on the right hand side of the tracklisting – this will add it to your playlist. Do this as many times as your wish (there are no limits on the number of songs you can have in a playlist). To re-order, rename or give the playlist a description, just click the “Organise” button on the playlist page.

So now you have your playlist – well, why not share it with your friends? On We7 you can share the music you love for free – just hit the “Share” button. You’ll then be able to share your favourite free songs with your friends and display it on your blog or webpage in a widget for any of your visitors to play!

We love playlists. So we’ve decided to create a whole new section, dedicated to showcasing the best playlists on We7. Each playlist in the section has a certain theme - whether it's football anthems, Celebrity Big Brother music or songs from this year's BRITs nominees. If you fancy suggesting a playlist to go in this section, leave a comment below with your recommendation and we’ll feature your playlist on this page!

Siobhan Donaghy's Ghosts voted most underrated album!

Last month we asked you to vote for your most underrated album from a list of 10 albums nominated by some of the most influential music bloggers around. Well, the votes have now been counted, and we are proud to declare Siobhan Donaghy's 2007 album Ghosts the clear winner!

In a rare interview with We7, Siobhan revealed that she was delighted with the recognition for her album - "I'm very proud to have created a body of work that is still being enjoyed."

Siobhan beat off strong competition from the likes of The Black Crowes (nominated for Amorica), Primal Scream (nominated for Give Out But Don't Give Up) and The Bleep Seals (nominated for Things That Roar).
