Usher is #1 ... New Music this week on We7

Musician, entrepreneur, actor... Usher has made a spectacular return this week, with his magnetic club groove. His latest album, Here I Stand, was one of the most anticipated albums of 2008 and debuted at Number One on the UK Album charts on Sunday. From 1977 to 1981, The Only Ones blazed a trail in music. While their career followed the rise and fall of Punk, their music stood above the 3-chord thrash, involving as they did a literary sensibility to their songwriting. Taking their inspiration from flamboyant rockers the New York Dolls, The Only Ones in turn influenced a generation of musicians, including Johnny Marr and The Manic Street Preachers.
